Welcome to Sycamore Academy.

20 years have passed since the days of the Whisper Hills kids. Now well out of their teens and steadily into their thirties, every member of the 'old gang' has had a child. The members of the old gang have kept riding, and now their children are the same age as their parents were 20 years ago. These teenagers, the offspring of the most talented riders in the country, are at the top when it comes to teenage riding. They have been sent here, to Sycamore Riding Academy, the most advanced and prestigious riding school in the country, to become the best riders in the world.

These kids are the elite. And this is cutthroat competition.

So TSG can be a confusing place. =]
To help you all out, I have devised a 'Getting Started' help guide to sort out all those questions.
It also includes a short FAQ at the bottom.
If you have any more question, do not hesitate to ask me. =]

  • READ THE RULES.

  • READ THE RULES AGAIN.

  • Read the plot to get acquainted with the site.

  • Claim a celebrity. This is best to do early, as they go very quickly.

  • Time to create your character! Go to 'Applications', copy&paste the application form and create a new thread in the board and fill it out. Your app will be moved to 'Accepted Applications' when it is accepted.

  • If your application is denied, the admin will give you some tips to modify your app so it can be accepted. =]

  • DO NOT POST UNTIL YOUR APP HAS BEEN ACCEPTED!

  • Once you are accepted, you can create your horse! Go to the 'Horse Stalls' board and enter the 'Horse Records' sub-board. Copy&paste the form and make your own thread titled 'Sally's Horses', etc. and put all your horse records in there.

  • Stick to your horse limit. If you break it, your extra horse will be deleted and you will be warned. To see what your horse limit is, please check the rules located in the 'Rules' board. I.e., here. =]

  • Time to get sociable! Claim a cell phone number, an email, an AIM name and a Myspace. Create a plot for other characters to join in on in the 'Plot Discussion' board. Make a photo album and make friends on your myspace sub-board.

  • Now you can meet people! Create a thread anywhere and put *JOIN* in the title if you want other characters to join in.

If you follow these, I guarantee you won't get into trouble.

F.A.Q.


How do I create my horse?

Again, go to the 'Horse Stalls' board and click on the 'Horse Records' sub-board. Choose one of the two forms available. Make a new thread with your charrie's name as the title. Eg, if I was playing someone called Jenny, then my thread would be titled 'Jenny's Horses.' Please do not alter this. Not 'Jenny's Critters' or 'Jenny's Loves', it's 'Jenny's Horses'. Copy and paste the form you selected and fill it out to the best of your ability. A picture is required, please try your best to provide one.


Can I post while I wait for my application to be accepted?

NO. DO NOT post until your app has been accepted by the admin and moved to the 'Accepted Applications' board.


What do I do if my application is denied?

If your application is denied, the admin will provide some tips for you to lengthen it, change it, etc. so that your app will be accepted. Please follow these tips, the admin knows what she is talking about. ;]


What if I don't know how to make a plot?

Making plots are fairly easy, however if you don't know how to make one of your own, contact the admin as she will have a spare template for you to use. =]


Can I copy other peoples' plots?

NO. You cannot take anyone else's plots. This includes coloring, lyrics and layout. Ideas may be similar [I acknowledge there is only so much you can do with HTML or UBBC] but you are not allowed to copy and paste someone's plot. If you do this, you will be banned from the site.


Where can I get graphics for my signature?

I know for a fact some of our WH members are skilled graphics makers *cough* Maddi *cough*, so you could go to their studio and request one, or, if they do not have a studio, politely PM them.

No. Sorry love, we can't all be as amazing and fantastic as me. =]
